Honda file

For 1980 Honda cut the US range to one Hawk, with European-style bodywork, electric start only and a new close-ratio six-speed gearbox. Smaller 30 mm CV carburettors with accelerator pumps were fitted for emissions, costing a little power, but the extra gear actually improved acceleration. Testers liked its light, precise handling and better fuel economy, though driveline snatch and high-rpm vibration were noted.
